Zaccheroni has twice been voted Serie A's best manager |
Former Milan and Lazio manager Alberto Zaccheroni has played down reports linking him with the vacant manager's job at Crystal Palace. British newspapers have claimed that Palace chairman Simon Jordan wanted Zaccheroni to replace Iain Dowie.
But Zaccheroni told BBC Sport: "There has not been any contact between Crystal Palace and me, and I have not had the pleasure of meeting Jordan.
"I would be interested - but only if we share the same vision and same goals."
Zaccheroni is a two-time winner of the Golden Bench, the Serie A manager of the year award.
And he revealed that he was still in talks with unnamed Premiership clubs about possible coaching roles.
He said: "Of course - but currently I have not received any formal proposal and therefore I have not signed any agreement.
"I see the English Premiership and the Spanish Liga as the two most fascinating and interesting leagues in football."
Zaccheroni, who won the Serie A title with Milan in 1999, made his name with Udinese before also coaching Lazio.
