A last-gasp Sami Hyypia goal gave Liverpool a fortuitous win over Wolves.
The Finnish defender headed home a Steven Gerrard corner after Liverpool had struggled to open up Wolves.
In the first half Liverpool were turned down in a penalty appeal when Jody Craddock appeared to foul Emile Heskey, while Michael Owen shaved the post.
Wolves' tireless performance probably deserved a share of the points as shots from Alex Rae, Vio Ganea and Kenny Miller troubled Jerzy Dudek.
Belying their lowly position, Wolves began in confident fashion.
Camara was unable to get to the ball with a header in the six-yard box and then Rae found space on the edge of the box for a drive held low down by Dudek.
Liverpool tried to utilise Owen's pace against Paul Butler, three times attempting to chip the ball to free the England striker.
Another chipped pass, this time to Harry Kewell, prised open the Wolves defence. only for Paul Jones to race out and clear the ball on the edge of the box.
Midway through the half Heskey charged down Craddock's clearance and surged into the box, only to be brought down from behind by the former Sunderland defender.
But to the consternation of the Liverpool bench referee Rob Styles waved away the penalty claims.
Soon after Murphy slipped the ball it into Owen's path and the striker's angled drive grazed the far post.
Despite those scares Wolves showed plenty of spirit typified by Camara's last ditch tackle in his own box to steal the the ball from Murphy after a Jamie Carragher cross had put him clear.
Camara was also a constant problem with his pace, while Ganea tested Dudek with a shot as did Miller.
Soon after ther interval Camara picked up a sloppy clearance and cracked in a low drive which Dudek finger-tipped round a post.
With Liverpool struggling to find inspiration, Houllier introduced El-Hadji Diouf and Milan Baros for Heskey and Kewell.
Baros' first touch produced a fierce low cross from the right and Owen met it with a hook shot that flashed just wide of the near post.
Wolves, defending deep, broke through Camara again and his low cross to the near post was hacked off Ganea's toes by John Arne Riise.
Then Rae from 25 yards, brought Dudek to his knees to save.
As the game entered stoppage time Liverpool's most impressive player Gerrard drove in a corner which Hyypia met with a venomous header to end Wolves' dogged resistance.
