League Two leaders Brentford put on a resilient performance to earn a point at Rotherham.
The Millers had the better of the chances throughout but were unable to find a way past Bees keeper Ben Hamer.
Mark Hudson tested Hamer early on and Drewe Broughton also went close twice as Rotherham controlled the game.
Jordan Rhodes should have scored for Brentford when a John Halls free-kick picked him out but he scuffed his shot and Andy Warrington saved.
