Just under half the teams in League Two are playing with issues at stake on the final day of the season.

Walsall and Hartlepool are in the title race, while Swindon and Milton Keynes are chasing the third automatic promotion spot.

Four teams are playing for three play-off places and at the bottom it will be one from three, with all eyes on a mouth-watering relegation 'six pointer' between Wrexham and Boston.

BBC Sport outlines the permutations and Barnet manager Paul Fairclough assesses the action.

Walsall and Hartlepool are level on points at the top of the table, but the Saddlers are in pole position having taken over top spot on goal difference last weekend.

That means the pressure is on the Pools to finish the day with a better result than the Saddlers.

Hartlepool have an advantage in that they host play-off chasing Bristol Rovers at home, where they have not lost this year, while Walsall travel to Swindon.

Swindon currently hold third spot and a point will mean they end the season there. But a defeat coupled with four-goal swing in goal difference in favour of MK Dons would see them go up and the Robins drop to the play-off positions.

But they are all worthy of the position and on a personal level I'd like to see Hartlepool get the title.

This seems a good time to mention that we are the only team to have taken maximum points off them, but in truth they are the best team in the division even if they have taken their eye off things a bit since getting promotion.

Swindon will secure third spot, which may well help Hartlepool finish in first.

The booby prize for whichever team misses out on automatic promotion is a guaranteed play-off place against the club that finishes seventh in League Two.

But third spot for either Swindon or MK Dons is the only guarantee in the play-off picture.

Lincoln City, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers and Stockport are separated by three points and could all claim fifth spot.

Lincoln need a point to be sure of a play-off place for the fifth successive season, Shrewsbury have a far superior goal difference to their rivals which means a draw will also be enough, while Rovers need to at least match Stockport's result.

It is amazingly close and it still will be come the final whistle on Saturday.

A month ago I'd have said Lincoln would be in by a mile, but Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers have built up a head of steam lately.

I don't think Rovers are the best team, but their big travelling support could just help them get over the line ahead of Stockport, who have to play away as well.

I can't separate the four teams going for those three places, although when it comes to the actual play-offs MK Dons certainly have the experience to pull through.

Torquay were relegated in mid-April and three clubs are scrambling to avoid joining them in dropping out of the Football League.

Boston United currently occupy the other relegation spot and if they fail to pick up a point at Wrexham they will go down.

And this is where it starts to get really interesting, as Wrexham are also standing above the trap door so they will be going all out to deny their visitors an easy way out.

If Boston take the spoils and Macclesfield earn a point at home to Notts County, the Welsh outfit will drop to the Conference.

You look at the games on the final day and it's as if some have been hand picked, it is great for the division.

There will be so much tension at Wrexham and Boston boss Steve Evans is a bullish character who will fight to the bitter end and will wind his team up good and proper.

But Boston have their work cut out. Being at home on the final day can really make a big difference and Wrexham will win.

Which means Paul Ince and Macclesfield should be let off the hook. It has been a real education for Incey down at the bottom of the league, and a real contrast to what has happened with Roy Keane at Sunderland.
