Top-billing worries Molby
Hull City manager Jan Molby claims his side needs to lose the fear factor to live up to their billing as promotion favourites.

The big-spending Tigers are yet to win this season and crashed 3-1 at Exeter City on Saturday, despite taking the lead through Stuart Green.

"There seems to be a fear every time we take the lead and we're waiting for teams to come back at us," Molby told the clubs website.

"We're not playing anywhere near what we're capable of but we've made our bed and we have to lie in it.

"As a squad we're all in it together and there are certainly no hiding places. The players are aware that they're with a big club and there are large expectations."

Green became the third of City's summer signings to be sent off, with Molby admitting the red card count is a "massive concern."

Hull will also be without new international winger Stuart Elliott for six weeks out after he picking up a knee injury against Exeter.

A scan has shown that the Northern Ireland star has suffered ligament damage.

"It might change the way we play," City boss Jan Molby told BBCi in Hull.

"Stuart was an important part in the way we wanted to play."

Meanwhile Hull have parted company with defender Nicky Mohan. The 31-year-old, who joined Hull from Stoke City last summer, has been released from the remainder of his contract at Boothferry Park.

Mohan looks set to join UniBond League side Gateshead.

The former Middlesbrough, Leicester City and Bradford City centre-back made 29 appearances for Hull after being signed by Brian Little.

Long-serving midfielder Neil Mann has also joined Gainsborough Trinity on a month's loan.
