Skipper Karl Broadhurst made a mess of a simple clearance, allowing Dominic Blizzard to come in and slot home from 12 yards out.
Jennison Myrie-Williams set up Sam Hewson to level, only for Matty McNeil to restore the lead with a header.
Matty Mainwaring's shot on the turn made it 3-1 before Michael Rose crossed for Leon McSweeney to add the fourth.
Hereford manager Graham Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"It was not a humiliation, but it was certainly not far off.
"That was a very poor performance, which has been unusual as we have usually been a battling side as well as being able to play some reasonable football.
"But today there was nothing at all, there wasn't a spark."
