Palmer has played for Cambridge United and Dagenham & Redbridge

Blue Square Bet South side Chelmsford City have signed defender Aidan Palmer and midfielder Greg Morgan.

Former Leyton Orient left-back Palmer, 24, was most recently at Bishop's Stortford and spent the end of last season on trial at Watford.

Winger Morgan, 23, joins from Boreham Wood, where he was a regular in their 2010/11 campaign.

Manager Glenn Pennyfather said: "I've liked Aidan for a while and tried to sign him before."

He added: "Greg played well against us in both games last season and he's another player with pace."
