Richard Pacquette's goal had given Eastbourne hopes of survival
Eastbourne Borough have been relegated to Blue Square Bet South, after they only managed a draw with play-off chasers Kidderminster.
Richard Pacquette put the Sports ahead when he turned on the edge of the area and fired into the bottom corner.
Pacquette nearly doubled the lead, but was twice denied by visiting goalkeeper Daniel Lewis.
Harriers equalised when Boro keeper Rikki Banks did not deal with a long ball and Tom Shaw was able to tap in.
Boro did have chances at 1-0 to extend their lead, but Eddie Hutchinson and Pacquette both fired wide of the target.
Eastbourne needed a victory and for teams around the relegation zone not to win if they were to keep their survival hopes alive.
However, a win for Tamworth and a 1-1 draw between fellow strugglers Forest Green and Cambridge meant a win would have been in vain.
It was a first relegation for Boro, who were called Langney Sports and playing in the Sussex County League as recently as 2000.
Harriers stretched their unbeaten record to 15 games - but a third straight draw has left them four points adrift of the play-off pack.
They now have the chance to close the gap on fifth-placed Fleetwood - who visit Aggborough on Friday night - when Steve Burr's men play their game in hand on Tuesday night, at home to Darlington (19 April, 1945 BST).
