Shaw sealed Histon's fate with his 15th goal this season

Histon have been relegated from the Blue Square Bet Premier after conceding a goal in each half to Gateshead.

The Stutes fans had plenty of time to get used to that fact after Josh Gillies' volley put the hosts ahead after just one minute.

Visiting keeper Wesley Foderingham did well to deny Jon Shaw's sweet strike just moments later.

The Tynesiders eventually sealed the visitors' fate when Shaw nodded home Andy Farrell's in-swinging cross.
