Bath City made it three wins in a row thanks to Lee Phillips' first-half goal against Gateshead.
Jon Shaw headed against the bar for the visitors before Phillips bagged his 14th of the season with a crisp left-footed strike from inside the area.
Marley Watkins struck the woodwork for Bath with a 25-yard effort and later brought a great save from Tim Deasy.
Gateshead pressed hard after the break but Richard Offiong and Phil Turnbull both saw shots fly wide.
