Crawley moved 12 points clear at the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier with a hard-fought win over Eastbourne.

The visitors took the lead through Charlie Wassmer, who slotted home after Craig McAllister's header came back off the crossbar.

Sergio Torres doubled the Red Devils' advantage when he fired home from McAllister's knock-down.

Eastbourne pulled one back through George Purcell's effort from the edge of the area but Crawley held on.
