Substitute Dale Johnson rose highest to meet Robbie Lawton's cross and glance home his side's second goal to boost their survival hopes.

Altrincham are now just two points from safety while Tamworth sit four points above the drop zone.

Johnson has returned to Alty after he was allowed to leave Hyde United.
