Zdenek Kroca almost gave the Hatters the lead when he directed Robbie Willmott's free-kick onto the crossbar.

At the other end, Kroca made a timely block to deny Ricky Wellard's long-range effort.

U's striker Danny Wright sliced wide with only Mark Tyler to beat and had a header ruled out for offside.
