Pablo Mills headed in a late winner for Crawley Town after a tight first half that saw four goals.
Craig McAllister opened the scoring for the hosts, finishing in the bottom left corner from close range.
Andy Cook equalised from just outside the box before keeper Clark Masters then brought down McAllister to concede a penalty, converted by Richard Brodie.
Barrow struck back as Paul Rutherford scored from inside the box but Mills's late goal sealed it for Crawley.
