Michael Smith scored his third goal in five games as Darlington secured a draw against play-off chasing Kidderminster.
The striker headed home Gary Smith's centre midway through the second half to restore parity after Keith Briggs had fired in the opener.
Midfielder Jack Byrne went closest to winning it for the visitors but his header crashed against the post.
However, that was his last action of note as a tackle on Gary Smith saw him dismissed for violent conduct late on.
Darlington manager Mark Cooper told BBC Tees: "It was a fantastic second-half performance, full credit to the players.
"I thought they were fantastic, played some really good football and looked a constant threat.
"If we had had that little bit of luck we could have won quite convincingly, we had lots of good play and bits and bobs in the box, it was just getting that little break."
Kidderminster assistant manager Gary Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester Jack Byrne's red card was harsh: "What is most disappointing is you know the referee is going to make that decision based on what has gone on before and the reaction of the crowd.
"It is not a decision made on what actually happened where two lads are going for the ball.
"Fair enough, it is a strong challenge by both of them but it is just disappointing that you knew that was going to happen as soon as those two clashed."
