Shaw has now hit 12 goals for Gateshead this season

Hat-trick hero Jon Shaw's near-post opener after just 20 seconds spearheaded Gateshead to a fine win.

Andy Morrell drew Wrexham level from Andy Mangan's cross but Nathan Fisher pounced for Gateshead's second when Chris Maxwell could only parry a shot.

Martin Brittain's penalty punished a Marvin Andrews handball, Fisher netted his second from close range and Craig Nelthorpe pounced on a Wrexham mistake.

Wrexham's Jamie Tolley pulled one back but Shaw headed two more for Gateshead.
