Yan Klukowski's penalty earned Forest Green a vital victory against fellow strugglers Hayes & Yeading.

The midfielder converted from the spot after Charlie Wassmer had fouled Keiron Forbes and gave Forest Green their first victory in four matches.

Klukowski could have made it 2-0 but his shot from 12 yards out was well saved by goalkeeper Lee Harrison.

Hayes, who have now lost three times on the bounce, had chances to equalise but Nathan Webb twice shot wide late on.
