Grimsby came back from 2-0 down to salvage a draw against Southport as both sides finished with 10 men.
Shaun Whalley opened the scoring for the home side with a long-range strike, before Earl Davis' close-range header doubled their lead.
But Whalley saw red for a bad foul on Alan Connell, before Rob Duffy headed home a corner from Connell.
Rob Atkinson's header levelled for the visitors, before they saw Michael Cummins sent off for two bookings.
