Gateshead made it three games unbeaten as they strolled to a comprehensive victory against Barrow.

Martin Brittain's cross was turned in by Jon Shaw to give the hosts the lead, though Barrow almost equalised when Phil Bolland headed wide from a corner.

Former Newcastle winger Brittain was again the tormentor in the second half, converting a penalty after Paul Edwards brought down Gary Mulligan.

Striker Nathan Fisher then wrapped things up from close range late on.
