Two quick goals helped Crawley come from a goal down to beat Kettering.
Home goalkeeper Michel Kuipers fouled Jean-Paul Marna in the area, and the striker picked himself up to smash in the resulting penalty.
Richard Brodie equalised for the Red Devils when he picked up a pass from Pablo Mills and coolly slotted in.
And Crawley took the lead two minutes later when Nick Bussey fouled Brodie in the area and Matt Tubbs stepped up to score the penalty.
Josh Simpson could have equalised earlier on for Crawley, but saw his shot smothered on the line by Bussey.
Crawley are now just one point behind Blue Square Bet Premier leaders AFC Wimbledon, as well as having three games in hand.
