Forest Green eased their relegation fears as Steve Guinan scored his first goal for the club to beat Fleetwood.
Guinan, on-loan from Northampton, struck the winner when he collected a pass from substitute Yan Klukowski and fired past Fleetwood's Scott Davies.
Debutant George Donnelly, signed from Plymouth earlier in the week, had the visitors' best chance but hit the bar.
Anthony Barry also fired wide twice for Fleetwood, who suffered their first league defeat in eight matches.
