Bath City's bumper Boxing Day fixture against Newport County has been called off due to a frozen Twerton Park pitch.

Bath officials had hoped their big Blue Square Premier Bet Conference clash would beat the cold weather so delayed any inspection until Sunday.

But the Bath pitch is frozen so a local referee postponed the match because of temperatures of minus ten overnight.

But the only Conference game that was not postponed on Christmas Eve was called off before County fans left.

A date for the rearranged fixture has yet to be decided.
