Robbie Matthews rescued a point for Newport County at Fleetwood in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Fleetwood had taken the lead when Magno Vieira beat Newport goalkeeper Glyn Thompson from six yards.

County should have levelled when Jonathan Worthington fouled Darryl Knights in the area, but Scott Davies saved Craig Reid's resulting penalty.

But Reid made amends with 15 minutes remaining when he set up Matthews, who made no mistake from close range.
