Swindon Supermarine manager Mark Collier says they deserved to get a draw out of their FA Cup second round tie, which they lost 1-0 at Colchester.
The Zamaretto Premier side were playing in the second round for the first time in their history on Saturday.
"I'm disappointed as we think we did enough to get a draw," the Supermarine boss told BBC Wiltshire.
"Second half we took the game to them. We said, 'be braver, pass the ball, have some purpose', and we did that."
Collier added: "The dressing room wasn't a happy place afterwards.
"Credit to their manager John Ward he came in and said they thought they'd have a difficult game and that's exactly what they got.
"And he said it's the first time he's been booed off for winning football match."
The club is now looking to take the momentum from their FA Cup run into their league form.
"Our aim now has to be promotion, we good enough to get out of the league we've just got to earn the right," said captain Chris Taylor.
"What we've got to take out of this is belief because we're a good team.
"We've got to concentrate on getting into the Blue Square Bet South which will suit us and allow us to play our football."
Supermarine are currently lying in 13th place but have several games in hand on the teams that are above them.
