Sido Jombati's strike was his first league goal of the season
Sido Jombati scored one goal and helped set up the other as Bath City extended their unbeaten league run to five matches with victory at Histon.
Bath took the lead when Luke Ruddick got to the byeline and played the ball to Jombati who fired in from 18 yards.
City doubled their lead 10 minutes after the break when right-back Jombati crossed for Lee Phillips, who finished brilliantly from 12 yards.
Daniel Sparkes reduced the deficit from close range but Bath held on.
Histon's sixth home defeat of the season keeps them in the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone while, sparked by Jombati's first league goal in a year, Bath climb into the top half.
Histon manager Dave Livermore told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire:
"The two most important areas of the pitch are both 18-yard boxes.
"We've conceded two goals that I'm very disappointed with.
"Some of the defending was criminal."
Bath City manager Adie Britton told BBC Somerset:
"The pitch was playable but it wasn't really possible to pass it about as we would have liked tonight, and sometimes you put the performance to one side and say the three points are all important.
"There's a belief and a confidence and long may it continue but we won't get ahead of ourselves. Twenty-seven points in November is beyond our wildest dreams really. It's just been a fantastically enjoyable season for us."
