Grimsby Town and Barrow played out a hard-fought draw at Blundell Park.

The Mariners nearly went ahead in a match with few clear-cut chances, Alan Connell's strike grazing the crossbar.

Striker Nick Chadwick scored first for Barrow, unleashing a right-foot shot into the bottom corner after good work from James Owen.

But the home side equalised soon afterwards, Rob Atkinson placing a shot into the corner of the net after a period of sustained Grimsby pressure.
