Chadwick's goal was his first of an injury-hit campaign
Nick Chadwick starred as struggling Barrow came from behind to narrowly see off Newport.
The visitors took the lead when Gary Warren powerfully headed home from a Danny Rose corner.
After Robbie Matthews missed a guilt- edged chance to put Newport two up, Chadwick's clever knock-down was despatched expertly by Jason Walker.
The comeback was completed by Chadwick with an excellent finish that gave Exiles keeper Glyn Thompson no chance.
Barrow joint-boss Dave Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria: "We want to be judged when we have our strongest side, and that was the strongest possible side we could pick today.
"Having Robin Hulbert, Paul Edwards, Nick Chadwick, Marc Goodfellow back in, it's more than a quarter of a team.
"They showed today what a difference a full side makes.
"It's been a terrible time, and it still is, we're not out of it yet, it's a long hard battle, but I'm sure if the lads show that kind of commitment and enthusiasm and passion, we'll go onto win games."
