Reece Styche's effort was enough to see off York and give Forest Green their first league win since mid-August.

Gavin Caines gave Green a dream start as he slotted home from Luke Jones' knockdown inside four minutes.

Styche then made it two when Yan Klukowski's ball gave him time to turn and shoot from the edge of the area.

York attempted to stage a late comeback when Alex Lawless returned to his former club to fire inside the post, but Green held on for a massive win.
