Truro put in a composed performance to defeat Bishops Cleeve in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
After a nervy start Truro started to take control, going in front on 36 minutes when Dan Smith slammed the ball home after cutting in from the right.
Martin Watts could have made it two shortly after the restart, but his free-kick was scrambled off the line.
Bishops Cleeve upped the pressure as the half progressed, but City's defence kept firm to hold out for the win.
