York were unable to give new manager Gary Mills a win in his first game in charge as they were held by Bath.
The hosts took a first-half lead after David McGurk's shot was handled, Michael Rankine slotting home the resulting penalty.
Alex Russell drilled home an equaliser from 15 yards for the visitors.
Bath pushed on in search of victory, Russell going close again, before York stopper Mike Ingham saved brilliantly from Adam Connolly.
