Law was appointed Kettering boss on Friday

Marcus Law's reign at Kettering got off to the perfect start as they defeated Hayes & Yeading to earn their first home win of the season.

Serge Makofo gave the Poppies the lead after five minutes when he fired in Jean Paul-Marna's cross.

The visitors equalised when Jamie Hand found Peter Holmes, who curled his shot past Kelvin Jack.

But James Dance slotted in from 12 yards out after the break to secure victory for Kettering.
