Winger Craig Nelthorpe scored twice as Gateshead made it three games unbeaten with a comfortable win at Histon.
Gary Mulligan poked the Tynesiders ahead from six yards after Jon Shaw had nodded the ball across goal.
Nelthorpe then doubled the lead with a 30-yard screamer past home keeper Joe Welch before wrapping up the points with his second late on.
There was still time for Omar Riza to pull one back from the penalty spot but it was little consolation for Histon.
