Wayne Curtis scored a first-half brace against hometown club Barrow to send newly-promoted Fleetwood to the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Curtis put the Cod Army on course to make it seven games unbeaten when he fired them in front from the edge of the penalty area.
Just minutes later Curtis struck again, this time with a header from deep inside the penalty area.
Barrow struggled to create chances as they sought a way back into the game.
