Shaw's seventh-minute header secured Gateshead's win

Jon Shaw's early goal proved to be enough for Gateshead as they overcame 10-man Luton.

Martin Brittain was dangerous throughout and his cross was met by the head of Shaw early on.

Luton had Taiwo Atieno sent off 10 minutes before the break for a dangerous lunge on Carl Jones.

The visitors pushed on for an equaliser and should have nicked a point only for Danny Crow to fire over from 12 yards in stoppage time.
