Tamworth 2-2 Bath City

Adam Connolly
Connolly netted his second goal of the season

Tamworth came back from two goals down to draw with Bath and claim second spot in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Kaid Mohamed weaved through the home side's defence and struck a powerful left-footed shot to put Bath ahead.

Adam Connolly extended their lead with a superb 35-yard strike but Alex Rodman netted a header shortly before half time to give the Lambs a lifeline.

Tamworth's push for a second-half equaliser paid off when Jay Smith's volley found the back of the net.

Bath City boss Adie Britton told BBC Radio Bristol:
"There were some fantastic performances. I'm a little bit disappointed we couldn't hold onto it as we did so well in the first hour of the game.

"Their centre-back took Joe Edwards out [in the box] but we didn't get the decision and I think a third goal then would have finished it.

"Within a minute they had a flick on at the near post and pulled one back and that was a crucial couple of minutes in the game."
