Gateshead 0-0 Grimsby

Gateshead and Grimsby Town played out a goalless draw in an evenly-matched encounter with few clear-cut chances.

The Mariners improved after the break, midfielder Lewis Gobern's strike forcing a tidy save from Gateshead keeper Tim Deasy.

Grimsby's best effort came on the hour mark, Mark Hudson hitting the post from 18 yards out.
