Chris Senior's early strike set Darlington on the way to a routine win.

Senior netted inside three minutes with a 12-yard shot and they doubled their lead when Gavin Caines headed into his own net from a Sam Russell free-kick.

Kevin Austin almost pulled a goal back for Forest Green Rovers with a header but Jamie Chandler sealed the win late on when he fired home from 12 yards.

The visitors' misery was completed when Lee Fowler was sent off for violent conduct in injury time.
