York recorded their first win of the season with a comfortable victory over Altrincham at Bootham Crescent.
Following a slow first-half, Michael Rankine gave York the lead with a left-footed shot from the edge of the area.
The home side went further ahead through a Richard Brodie penalty after he was brought down by Marc Joseph, before Rankine rounded off the win.
Altrincham rarely threatened, with a long-range effort from Matty Crowell being the closest they came to scoring.
