Zac Attwood bagged a brace as Histon came from behind to defeat Barrow.
Barrow went in front when Remy Clerima steered a free-kick into his own net but Histon equalised when Romone McCrae headed home Lanre Oyebanjo's cross.
Attwood then grabbed his first just on half-time, finishing into the bottom corner, and he slotted home his second from a Danny Mills through ball.
Histon finished with 10 men after Lee Wootton was shown a straight red for violent conduct with five minutes left.
Histon assistant manager Dean Greygoose told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It was an unbelievable win, especially given we went a goal down and our young players showed a lot of bottle.
"There's a lot we need to work on and this is very much the start, but it was an awesome performance.
"To a man they rolled their sleeves up and just kept going and we looked like we could have scored more."
