Basingstoke Town manager Frank Gray says reaching the Blue Square Bet South play-offs is the goal this season.
Six new players have signed although Ross Montague will miss the season after tearing his cruciate ligament.
Gray told BBC Berkshire: "We're in the fortunate position where we've managed to get the players we've targeted.
"We would like to be up as near to the play-offs as possible. With a bit of luck and if we keep injuries to a minimum, then that's going to happen."
In addition to Montague, Chris Tardif, Ross Adams, Jay Gasson, Stuart Lake and Matt Pattison are also coming to the Camrose this season.
"We realised at the end of last season that we needed to strengthen the squad in certain areas and we've managed to do that," Gray continued.
"We feel we've brought in the players to get close [to the play-offs]."
