Harrogate Town have signed former England youth international Dominic Roma from Alfreton.
The 24-year-old is Town's seventh new signing and joins five other players who have re-signed from last season.
Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "At Hinckley he played just under a hundred games and he was player-of-the-year there.
"His chances became limited last season [at Alfreton] so I felt we just had to make him feel wanted."
Roma began his career at Sheffield United, leading to England appearances at under-18 and under-19 level.
He settled at Hinckley before joining Alfreton, but lost his regular place in the side.
"When I met him, he was like a breath of fresh air, really," said Weaver
"He said he'd had offers but he wanted to come to us because we were the first club to come in for him.
"Last season he was turning up and he wasn't guaranteed a spot.
"He just wants a platform to play on and he wants to help us have a successful season, and we hope he does."
