Graham Baker will thank Newport manager Dean Holdsworth
Woking manager Graham Baker says he is indebted to Newport County manager Dean Holdsworth after his team made the Blue Square South play-offs.
Woking finished fifth after they beat Weymouth 4-0 and Braintree Town lost 2-1 to Newport.
Baker told BBC Surrey: "I've seen both sides of the story and fortunately today we've come out on the right side.
"I'll give Dean a ring and thank him for doing their bit and buy him a bottle of champagne."
He added: "Newport have played the season out. They could have downed tools but they've gone right to the end. They've been the best side in the league by a million miles."
"We've got Woking back winning football matches, and enjoyment back in the fan's lives.
Woking will host Dover in the first leg of their play-off semi-final on Tuesday.
Baker said: "They'll be two great games, two great teams and two great atmospheres. It's got the making of everything."
"We've got two very big games we've got to focus on.
