Conal Platt scored a crucial winner for Forest Green as they beat Crawley to boost their survival bid.
Rovers' David Brown and Crawley's Adam Quinn both had chances early on but Brown blazed over and Quinn's header was hooked away by Paul Stonehouse.
Platt missed a second-half penalty for Rovers, firing straight at Nick Jordan, who had brought down Reece Styche.
But he made amends, netting from deep inside the area to leave Rovers only in the drop zone on goal difference.
