AFC Telford United's wafer-thin Blue Square North promotion hopes were ended at last with a third straight defeat at play-off challengers Workington.
The Bucks conceded a soft opener four minutes before the break from Shaun Vipond's disputed free-kick.
Midfield man Phil Trainer levelled things up with an excellent strike 10 minutes into the second half.
But, just four minutes later, the home side won it from another set piece, this one taken by Tony Hopper.
With just two games left, after their winless Easter, it is now mathematically impossible for Telford, last year's beaten finalists, to reach this season's play-offs.
Boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "Two soft, soft goals and an inability to finish. It's the story of our season."
