Forest Green remain in the bottom three after relegation rivals Tamworth edged a seven-goal thriller.
Rovers led inside two minutes as Reece Styche set up Daniel Powell to net from six yards, but Tom Shaw levelled from the spot four minutes later.
Bradley Pritchard gave the Lambs the lead, but Conal Platt's 20-yard free-kick made it 2-2 at half-time.
Iyseden Christie set up Jake Sheridan for Tamworth, before netting himself - and Platt replied with a late penalty.
Michael Briscoe handled the ball in the area which gave Forest Green the penalty and set up a nervy last few minutes for Tamworth, but they were able to hold the game until the final whistle.
Rovers manager Dave Hockaday will be left to rue a missed chance from Styche, who could have made it 2-1 but his header was well saved from keeper Danny Alcock.
The defeat leaves Rovers fighting for survival in 21st place, with Ebbsfleet closing in just one point behind them after their important 3-2 win over Eastbourne.
With all three points in the bag, Tamworth are now 15th in the table and the Lambs will be confident of retaining their place in the Blue Square Premier next season.
