Redditch United pulled themselves further away from the Blue Square North relegation zone with a 1-0 victory over Corby Town at Valley Stadium.

Marco Adaggio scored the game's only goal after 50 minutes to lift the Reds nine points clear of the bottom two.

Redditch were without midfielder Joe Clarke as he started a three-match ban so Danny Scheppel was drafted in.

Corby remain 11th in the Blue Square North table, nine points adrift of the play-off places.
