Newport County hold German side Carl Zeiss Jena 2-2 in their European Cup Winners Cup quarter-final first-leg in 1981 before the Germans won the tie 3-2 on aggregate as the eventual runners-up were victorious in the second-leg 1-0 at Somerton Park.
