Glenn Poole scored his first goal for promotion-chasing AFC Wimbledon as they won for the first time in four games.
The home side took the lead when Ricky Willard created a chance for Poole, who slotted into the net from inside the six-yard box.
Eastbourne pushed for an equaliser but the AFC Wimbledon defence reduced them to just a handful of shots.
Top scorer Danny Kedwell secured the points for the home side when he headed in a Derek Duncan cross.
That was Kedwell's 21st goal of the season - 19 of which have now come in the league, making him the Blue Square Premier's sole top marksman.
