Stevenage 4-0 Barrow

Yemi Odubade
Yemi Odubade's hat-trick now makes him Stevenage's 14-goal top scorer

Yemi Odubade hit a stunning hat-trick as on-song Stevenage leapfrogged Oxford United to return to the top of the Blue Square Premier table.

The hosts opened the scoring after 28 minutes when Odubade's low drive found the bottom corner.

Stevenage then doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Scott Laird finished well inside the area.

Odubade then found the bottom corner after 59 minutes before thumping into the top corner to complete his treble.

The powerful striker, who caused Barrow problems all night, took his tally to 14 for the season, which puts him two clear of Charlie Griffin as Stevenage's top scorer.

It was also a fourth straight league win for Graham Westley's men in which they have now hit 13 goals without reply.

Thanks to Oxford's surprise home defeat by Hayes & Yeading, it sends Stevenage two points clear as the Blue Square Premier lead changed hands once again - but Oxford have a game in hand.
