Forest Green 1-1 Cambridge Utd

Danny Crow
Crow gave Cambridge the lead midway through the first half

A second-half strike from Jared Hodgkiss cancelled out Danny Crow's opener and earned Forest Green a much-needed point against Cambridge United.

The U's dominated the first-half and their good work paid off when striker Crow put them ahead after 20 minutes.

Forward Tomi Ameobi went close for Forest Green but Dave Hockaday's side failed to pose a real threat.

But Rovers came out strong second-half and two frustrating misses led to a Jared Hodgkiss equaliser.

It was an important point for Forest Green as they aim to climb out of the relegation zone.

They are now just three points away from safety, with Cambridge dropping dangerously near to the drop in 18th place.
